Sarfaraz’s fans gather outside his residence to protest against PCB
KARACHI: Sarfaraz Ahmed’s fans gathered in large numbers outside the former captain’s residence in Bufferzone to stage a protest in favor of Sarfaraz.
The cricket lovers asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to reconsider their decision of removing the wicket-keeper batsman from captaincy in all formats.
While talking to natcour.com, a fan said “Tell me what was the reason behind sacking Sarfraz. I agree that his performance was not too good in recent times but what about his achievements which he marked for this country.
The fans appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to look into this matter and call back Sarfraz as captain in shorter format of the game. “We would like to request PM Khan to look into this matter as merit has been overlooked,” fans appealed.
Karachiites also chanted the slogans of ‘Justice for Sarfraz’ and ‘Sarfraz Zindabad’. On the other hand, they also bashed former pacer Shoaib Akhtar who called the people of Karachi ‘coward’.
