Sarfaraz Ahmed resumes captaincy of Sindh in Pakistan domestic season
FAISALABAD: Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed agreed to resume the captaincy of Sindh cricket team in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2019 after being dropped and sacked from the national cricket team.
According to details, Sarfaraz Ahmed captained Sindh in the fifth round fixture of the tournament, relegating Asad Shafiq to stand-in duty.
Shafiq had stood in for Sarfaraz in the National T20 Cup after the Sarfaraz relinquished the role following a spat in a press conference with a reporter.
It is worth mentioning here that PCB replaced Sarfaraz Ahmed in both Tests and T20Is, handing the responsibility to Azhar Ali and Babar Azam respectively.
