Usman Dar comes under fire over controversial remarks for Pashtuns

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar, came under fire on social media for making a controversial statement regarding Pashtuns.
In a private news channel’s talk show, Dar was asked about the current JUI-F dharna to which he responded by saying:-
“The same thing will happen, Mansoor, like when those Pathans you see in gulleys and mohallas, they sell a Rs50 blanket for Rs500. The same thing will happen to them (Azadi Marchers),” he said.

PML-N’s Hina Pervaiz Butt interrupted Dar and said that a single race should not be targeted and one should only focus on the fact that everyone is a Pakistani.
Dar, realizing his mistake, took his statement back and appealed to the host to let him be heard.
“Whosoever sells blankets worth Rs50 for Rs500, I am talking about them,” he said.
