Pakistan army will continue to support national institutions: COAS
ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Jawed Bajwa said that Pakistan army as organ of state would continue to support national institutions as and when asked as per constitution.
The army chief made the remarks while chairing the Corps Commanders Conference at GHQ in Rawalpindi on Monday.
The commanders reviewed geo strategic and national security environment. Internal security, situation along Eastern Border, Line of Control and IOJ&K were also discussed.
The Commanders expressed firm resolve to defend the country against full spectrum threat.
“We have attained better internal security and stability through cohesive national efforts and sacrifices rendered by Pakistan Armed Forces, all national institutions & above all the nation. We shall not let it reverse to suit any vested agenda at any cost,” General Bajwa said.
“Pak Army as organ of state will cont to sp national institutions as & when asked as per constitution. While Pak Armed Forces are fully prep to thwart all threats, cont cohesion of national stakeholders on key national issues is essential to defeat inimical forces,” he added.
