Men dig out woman’s corpse for being buried near feudal lords
RAHIM YAR KHAN: Disgruntled men removed a woman’s body from her grave for allegedly occupying space near the graves of their local feudal landlords, according to police.
Citing police sources, Geo News reported that some influential men had reserved graves for feudal landlords without the local administration’s permission.
On finding that the woman was not related to the landlords, a group of men emptied the grave and also attacked the deceased’s woman relatives in the Sakhi Hassan Graveyard of Rahim Yar Khan’s Khan Bela neighbourhood, leaving three injured.
The injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital whereas the remaining relatives and members of the bereaved family protested against the injustice.
A first information report (FIR) has been registered by the district police along with further directives to bury the corpse in the same place again.
More than 15 suspects were booked in the case while two men have been arrested in the Shedani Sharif police station.
