Law will take its course if opposition violates sit-in agreement: Khattak
Federal Defence Minister Pervez Khattak has said that doors are open for talks with opposition but government will not allow any attempt to spread anarchy.
Addressing a news conference along with Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood and MNA Asad Umar in Islamabad on Saturday, he said if the marching parties leave their designated place, they will be breaking the agreement it had signed with the city’s administration.
Law will take its course if the agreement is violated, he said.
Khattak said any damage caused to life and property will be the sole responsibility of the opposition if they resort to violence.
The core committee also regretted on statements made on container of opposition march.
He said the core committee has decided to go to court against Maulana Fazal ur Rehman after he made a statement of citizen arrest of the Prime Minister, as it is equivalent to inciting people on mutiny.
