Hearing of militants’ treatment case against Dr Asim Hussain adjourned till Nov 30
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) adjourned on Saturday the hearing of a case pertaining to medical treatment of some criminals and outlaws against Dr Asim Hussain and others until November 30.
Former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain, Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar, and Pak Sarzameen Party leader Anis Qaimkhani attended the hearing among others. The case’s plaintiff Rangers’ DSR Inayatullah Durrani was also present during the hearing.
During the hearing, Investigation officer SP Altaf Hussain presented the case record in the court but the opposing lawyer contended that the documents were fake.
The plaintiff narrated his statement before the court regardless of the criticism on the documents, at which, the opposing lawyer argued that court functions on the basis of authentic and relevant documents.
According to the investigation officer, documents that were provided by the former investigation officer were presented before the court.
While dismissing the classification clause, the court adjourned the next hearing till November 30.
The court ordered that the authentic documents must be submitted in the presence of the joint investigation team’s head.
