No going back from here, says Fazl to PM Imran
ISLAMABAD: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman warned Prime Minister Imran on Sunday that the Azadi March was not going to back down and would only go further from here.
The JUI-F chief was addressing a large gathering of the Azadi March protesters in the H-9 venue when he lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government.
“Will we learn politics from people who were born with a silver spoon in their mouths? Will they teach us what politics is? That too, politics of the poor,” he asked.
Fazl said that he knew what exactly was the character of Prime Minister Imran and the people around him. He said that the entire lot was corrupt.
“You lash out at other people and call them corrupt. What about you? The entire lot around you are thieves,” he said.
Fazl said that there was no going back from here.
“We have not come here to go back. They talk about D-Chowk. That is too small a space for this gathering. This area is open and wide for us,” he said.
Fazl said that the JUI-F had decided not to go to either the election commission or the judiciary. He said that PTI’s foreign funding case was also being heard for the past five years by the election commission but nothing had been achieved in that regard.
“The election commission is even more helpless than us,” he said.
Fazl didn’t mince his words when it came to expressing his intentions about the incumbent government.
“The PTI government will have to go. There’s no other option for us [the opposition parties]. We have to give the people their right to elect their representatives,” he said.
