Pakistan issues commemorative coin ahead of Bab Guru Nanak’s 550th birth celebrations
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday issued a commemorative coin to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak – the founder of Sikhism.
The Sikh pilgrims will be able to buy the coin of worth Rs50 when the they visit the Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib next month.
The postage stamps will also be issued worth Rs8 and could be used commonly.
The move comes days before Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the project on November 9.
The 550th birth anniversary Baba Guru Nanak will be celebrated on November 12.
On Monday, he also laid the foundation stone of Baba Guru Nanak University in Nankana Sahib.
