Sources told the news channel that Maulana can be arrested on October 26. According to sources, the government cannot afford to detain Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday as it is wary of strong reaction from JUI-F’s supporters.
Apart from Maulana Fazlur Rehman, eight top JUI-F leaders can also be placed under house arrest for a period of 90 days
The government is also planning to impose a ban on JUI-F-affiliated Ansar ul Islam and a summary in this regard has also been forwarded to Prime Minister Imran Khan for approval.
