Ancient Hindu temple reopened in Sialkot
SIALKOT: A 1,000-year-old Hindu temple, which was sealed since partition, has been re-opened for pilgrims in Punjab’s Sialkot city.
Shawala Teja Singh Temple in Dhaarowal was built by Sardar Teja Singh and closed during partition.
According to officials, about 200 people attended the inaugural ceremony on Friday night.
Chairman Evacuee Trust Properties Board Dr Aamer Ahmed was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
The temple opening is aimed to project Pakistan as minorities’ friendly country.
