“We will definitely miss Sarfaraz on the field,” says Babar ahead of Australia T20
SYDNEY: Pakistan’s T20 skipper Babar Azam said that he is confident ahead of his first assignment as a captain.
While talking to media during a pre-match presser in Sydney, Babar said “We’ve got a plan ready for Aussies’ opener David Warner. He’s one of Australia’s good batsmen. Obviously, once he gets going, he gets going but we have a strategy in place for all facets.”
He said that initial plan is to give performance as a captain and player.
“When I’ll be batting I’ll try to score and when I’ll be fielding I’ll try to make good moves as a captain. Hence there is no pressure of captaincy on me. We’ve been in Australia so know conditions,” he added.
Responding to a query, Babar said that we will definitely miss Sarfaraz on the field because Saify played a key role in making Pakistan the number one ranked T20I side.
Pakistan will take on Australia in a three-match T20I series, starting on Sunday, November 3 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The match will start at 8:30am PST.
