Ex-PM Nawaz Sharif to be moved from Services Hospital
LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will be shifted to Sharif Medical City from Lahore’s Services Hospital.
The PML-N supremo has been under treatment at Services Hospital for 14 days due to low platelets count.
The medical board has allowed allowed the former premier to start walk and exercise.
The board suggested to carry out genetic test of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif to diagnose his illness.
Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan said that his platelet count is again on the decline.
“Former PM #NawazSharif’s Platelet count remain below acceptable cut-off line (30*10^3/uL yesterday), thereby it’s unsafe to introduce DAPT (blood thinner medicines) to minimise threat of a Cardiac event and/or Stroke. The risk of spontaneous bleeding still remains,” he tweeted.
“Mr. Sharif’s critical unstable clinical picture warrants aggressive management. His Platelets count is again on the decline. The underlying cause & a definitive diagnosis is unestablished requiring further extensive clinical work-up without delay.”
