Zardari needs urgent treatment of acute spinal cord pain: sister
KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Asif Ali Zardari is suffering from acute spinal cord pain, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho recently stated.
“Zardari’s condition had worsened as he had to travel from jail to city court in an armour van,” Dr. Pechuho said.
Dr. Pechuho spoke of severe pain in Zardari’s spinal cord, expressing regret that there wasn’t a single spinal cord surgeon in Pakistan.
According to an orthopedic surgeon, the condition is treatable at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) by the aid of physiotherapy, medicines and rest.
The PPP co-chairman was transferred to the PIMS Hospital on Tuesday in view of his “deteriorating health” following a recommendation by a medical board. He was shifted from an accountability court to the hospital amid tight security.
