Sindh announces public holiday on Oct 14
The Sindh government has announced a holiday on 14th October on account of Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, an official notification stated earlier today.
The Sindh administrative has directed all offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils falling under the provincial government, with exception to essential services, to remain closed.
The three-day ceremony of the Urs will be observed with poetry marathons and literature conferences.
Academic activities in schools will remain suspended, a spokesperson for the education minister said. However, schools will host activities related to the importance of the day.
