Schools in Islamabad to remain closed on Thursday

ISLAMABAD: An unofficial school body has announced that it will not open privately-owned educational institutions in the federal capital on Thursday.

The decision has been taken to prevent any untoward incident as JUI-F’s Azadi March is expected to enter into the city.

In a statement, Private Schools Association stated that the decision to reopen the schools will be taken in light of the developing situation.

The secretary of the association said that the decision has been taken for the safety of schoolchildren, Dunya News reported.
