PM asks Noorul Haq Qadri to dissuade Fazl from long march: report
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri to contact Maulana Fazlur Rehman and dissuade him from the planned ‘Azadi March’ of the party.
This was mentioned in a report by The Express Tribune. The report claimed that Prime Minister Khan had asked the federal minister for religious affairs to present a report on the ‘Azadi march’ and highlight how he plans to deal with it.
Qadri may also meet Fazl for talks before the ‘Azadi March’ commences. Qadri will then reveal the conditions proposed by Fazl to a high-level meeting of the government.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman has threatened the government by stating that the ‘AZadi March’ would conclude with the fall of the government.
Fazl has blamed the government for failing to respond appropriately on the issue of Kashmir and has accused the government of ‘selling out’ when it comes to the disputed territory.
