Mansha Pasha wants haters to stop comparing Pakistani actresses with Kate Middleton

Pakistanis praised the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton for her Eastern clothes throughout the Royal Tour Pakistan, yet they don’t seem to be able to give the same respect to women from their own culture.
On social media, Pakistanis were also quick to point fingers and bash Pakistani actresses who have switched to western outfits.
Actress Mansha Pasha called out the double standards of social media, saying that actors and actresses do not abandon their cultures when they wear western clothes.
In a tweet, the Laal Kabootar asked if Pakistani men are also “abandoning their culture” and “supporting non-Muslim values” when they wear jeans and a shirt since that is also a Western outfit.
The actress also schooled the netizens to stop forcing culture, religion, honor or representation upon anyone.
Are Pakistani men also “abandoning their culture” and “supporting non Muslim values” when they wear jeans and a shirt since that is also a Western outfit?
When will the day come when women dont have to carry the burden of culture, religion, honor, representation?— manshapasha (@manshapasha) October 15, 2019

Just to be clear.
Neither is culture nor religion nor honor nor representation a burden. It is a gift.
But when one is killed for honor, criticised for what they wear or how they practise religion – it becomes a yardstick by which to judge ppl, to isolate or humilate them. https://t.co/S4s7yiYIRX— manshapasha (@manshapasha) October 16, 2019
