Jada Pinkett Smith in awe of Abida Parveen, calls her ‘my spiritual mother’
American actress Jada Pinkett Smith is another who finds peace in Abida Parveen’s music.
Smith was attending the Development and Literacy (DIL) gala in San Francisco, USA, where the Sufi maestro was singing her kalaam Ghoom Charakhra.
The actress took that moment to social media by sharing a clip of her performance. She captioned the video, “My night with my spiritual mother Abida Parveen the one I won’t forget.”
She went on to add that Smith was able to see her path ahead.
Later, Smith posted a series of pictures in which her face can be seen glowing as she poses with Parveen. Smith had donned a Balochi blue and white dress.
Earlier this year, Smith had lauded the singer in another post in which she said Abida Parveen’s Chaap Tilak was her all-time favorite song.
