Fawad Chaudhry blames Modi govt for Lahore air pollution
ISLAMABAD: Federal Science Minister Fawad Chaudhry has claimed that field fires in neighborly country India were resulting in air pollution in Lahore.
Quoting the Climate Change Minister, Chaudhry said that pollution in Lahore was caused by cross border field fires and abysmal environmental condition in India.
He said that pollution level at Wagah was double than Lahore city.
“The Minister of Climate Change informed the Cabinet that Pollution in Lahore is caused by cross border field fires and abysmal environmental conditions in India level of pollution at Wagha is double than Lahore city, #Modi Govt is failing is every aspect irresponsible Govts are a curse,” Chaudhry tweeted.
In Lahore, Air Quality Index has been recorded at 287 and according to weatherunderground.com, active people of all ages who exercise or work vigorously outdoors are at increased risk.
In Delhi, the capital of India, air quality index is currently at 422 which is hazardous to the general population.
