DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor had urged Zaid Hamid not to spread disinformation
ISLAMABAD: Defence analyst Zaid Hamid responded to DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor’s tweet urging him to stop spreading disinformation.
Taking to Twitter, Zaid Hamid responded to the DG ISPR’s tweet, claiming that he knew a lot of people had been disappointed over ‘the night incident’.
“My supporters, don’t worry. A quarrel takes place sometimes among brothers and friends. At this time, we are in the battlefield. Keep your attention towards the enemy. Pakistan Army personnel are like my brothers and sons. We must defend them at any and every cost,” he tweeted.

Without mentioning any names, it seems obvious Hamid was referring to the DG ISPR’s tweet from the other day urging him not to spread disinformation especially regarding the armed forces.
Taking to Twitter, Major General Asif Ghafoor denied that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) were upset over the government’s decision to release Abhinandan Varthaman.
“Please don’t spread disinformation especially about Armed Forces. National decisions are taken through institutional approach. Please don’t be that sure while you know nothing about facts,” he tweeted.

“I know for sure that PAF was extremely upset over release of Abhinandan by IK as well…it was a great let down….While PAF was roaring to destroy the demoralized enemy, it was pulled back by a very afraid IK Govt….fearing their own shadows for lack of courage & vision,” Hamid had tweeted.
