What is fuming between boxer Amir Khan and his mother?
WASHINGTON: Boxer Amir Khan and wife Faryal Makhdoom recently announced they are expecting their third baby, but his three-year-long feud with parents continues for branding his wife as a bad mother.
“Guys, we’re having our third child and we’re so excited and nervous at the same time. He or she? What will baby Khan be? I’m going to punch the balloon to see what the gender is,” the couple took the announcement to social media.
“Oh wow, it’s a boy!” he exclaimed as the pair hugged each other.
As cherished his parents may have been, reports have said his mother was left with floods of tears after she was silently uninvited from seeing the couple and left out ringing the doorbell on a recent visit.
While the 32-year-old boxer claims he remains in touch with his family, a family source revealed to the media that his wife and mother-in-law have barred him from talking to his own family.
“Falak was overjoyed and rang Amir, who was at home. He confirmed the news, and despite the bad blood, she darted around to see him.
“But she was unable to see him.
“After an hour, she returned home in tears, crying and sobbing since.
“Every aspect of his life is controlled by his wife and mother-in-law, who have banned him from talking to his own parents.”
Khan’s reps claimed the boxer wasn’t at home, The Sun reported.
