Veteran Pakistani actor Abid Ali passes away
KARACHI: Veteran Pakistan TV actor Abid Ali passed away at a Karachi hospital due to liver cancer, family confirmed. He was 67.
The legendary actor had been in critical condition for the past few days.
Abid Ali’s wife Rabia Abid Ali said that her husband had lost the battle against cancer and left the world.
“I urge everyone to pray for his forgiveness,” she said
He was hospitalized on September 3 due to deteriorating health condition owing to liver disease.
Born in Quetta in 1952, Abid Ali starred in several TV serials and film productions.
The actor was best known for his role as ‘Dilawar Khan’ in ‘Waris’, the classic 1979 PTV drama serial.
Abid Ali is the recipient of the prestigious Pride of Performance. He has three daughters, including renowned model and actress Iman Aly and singer Rahma Ali.
