Saudi, UAE FMs call on Pakistan army chief
ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday held a meeting with foreign ministers of Saudi Arabian and UAE to discuss matters of mutual concern and regional stability.
Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Bin Sultan-al Nahyan arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday.
According to Pakistan Army’s Department of Public Relations, General Bajwa and the visiting foreign ministers had a conversation on Indian annexation of Kashmir and its impact on regional peace and stability.
They expressed their resolve to further strengthen the existing relations between their countries and Pakistan.
“Pakistan is proud of having special strategic and brotherly relations with the UAE and Saudi Arabia,” Gen Bajwa said during the meeting.
The visiting dignitaries lauded Pakistan’s efforts in maintaining regional peace and stability, and assured the military chief of diplomatic and moral support for Pakistan.
