PCB contacted Windies legend Walsh for interview in the middle of night: report
The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) seriousness in interviewing former Windies legend Courtney Walsh for the bowling coach’s position has been exposed.
According to Daily Jang, Courtney Walsh applied for the bowling job, a PCB official called Walsh’s agent at 2am. However, the agent told the PCB official to call in the morning and set a date for the interview. But surprisingly the board had already decided to hire Waqar Younis next day.
Several former cricketers and coaching candidates have since bemoaned the PCB’s interviewing procedure, claiming that the entire practice was staged for mere formalities when the appointments had been planned well in advance.
