Pak Navy shooters dominate on CNS Open Shooting Championship’s 3rd day
KARACHI: Pakistan Navy shooters dominated the 3rd day of the ongoing 3rd Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Open Shooting Championship 2019 at Pakistan Navy Shooting Range, PNS Bahudar on Wednesday.
According to media release, Pakistan Navy claimed 41 medals including 15 Gold, 14 Silver and 12 Bronze, While Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Sindh stand 2nd and 3rd with 8 and 3 medals respectively.
In the 50-metre Pistol Men’s event, PAF’s Abid Ali secured top place with Gold, while, Navy’s Uzair Ahmed and Kaleem Ullah of PAF claimed2nd and 3rd position respectively.
It is pertinent to mention here that the 5th edition of the CNS Open Shooting Championship 2019 commenced here on Monday.
Almost 400 shooters from all over Pakistan are participating in the week long Championship.
During the championship, a total of 24 events will be contested in Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun categories for Men, Women and Youth on different ranges.For the sake of sport shooting enthusiasts, 05 events of Big Bore Pistol, Big Bore Rifle (300 Mtrs) and 0.22 Open Sight (50 Mtrs) categories have been included in the Championship as ‘Festival Matches’ which will be open to all and Non-Scoring towards overall points of the championship.
