NAB arrests PPP senior leader Syed Khurshid Shah
ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau Rawalpindi on Wednesday arrested Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khurshid Shah in the federal capital, Geo News reported.
According to details, NAB officials made the arrest near Bani Gala in relation to owning assets beyond known sources of income. Khursheed Shah will be shifted to Sukkur.
The arrest came after the allegations were proven in the initial investigation against the PPP leader and further inquiry will be carried out in the case.
The PPP leader allotted to himself an amnesty plot illegally from a cooperative society in Sukkur.
NAB Sukkur had sent a summon notice to the PPP leader. In a reply, Shah refused to appear before the anti-graft watchdog.
PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called a press conference in this regard.
