Human rights activist Kapil Dev, on Sunday, tweeted against the Ghotki mob incident where extremists rioted and desecrated a Hindu temple.

Riots began in Ghotki on Saturday when it came to light that the father of a Sindh Public School student alleged that the principal had committed blasphemy.

He filed a complaint under section 295(c) of the constitution of Pakistan that pertains to “derogatory remarks in respect of the Holy Prophet (PBUH)”.

Violent mobs desecrated a Hindu temple and vandalized the school. A shutterdown strike was observed in Ghotki and surrounding areas.

Human rights activist, Kapil Dev, took to Twitter to speak out against the extremists who were rioting and desecrating the temple.

“Aren’t we Pakistani? We #Pakistani #Hindus are only 2% of the total population. I just want to know what danger do we pose to 98% population. Just visit my timeline & see how we observed Muhrram a few days ago, but yet we suffer incidents like #Ghotki,” he tweeted.
