Bilawal demands release of all political prisoners
KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday called for the government to release all political prisoners.
Taking to Twitter, Bilawal Bhutto deplored the failure of National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaider to issue production orders for detained parliamentarians despite his repeated requests in the house.
He expressed the joy that two MNA from Waziristan were finally free.
“Time cant be up for youth of Pakistan who believe in democracy, human rights & peaceful resistance. Our time has just begun.Pleased 2 FATA MNAs are finally free. Despite repeated demands selected Speaker never issued production orders. I demand release of all politician prisoners,” Mr Bhutto wrote while replying to Mohsin Dawar’s tweets following his release from prison.
Dawar, a leader of Pathun Tahffuz Movement, was released on bail after being in jail for four months.
The MNA had specially thanked Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his support in the Parliament.
“We are willing to lay our lives for our ppl, jails are a very small price. I would like to thank all of those who raised their voice for our release. There are too many names but one that I must mention is @BBhuttoZardari for his unwavering support both in & out of parliament,” he added.
