Babar Azam completes 1000 runs in a calendar year

KARACHI: Middle-order batsman Babar Azam completed his 1,000 runs in the calendar year and become the first Pakistani to reach the milestone since 2013.

According to details, Babar Azam reached this milestone in the 19th inning of the year. He achieved just as he completed his 54th run during Pakistan-Sri Lanka second ODI at the National Stadium.

Meanwhile, the right-handed batsman is the 10th Pakistani batsman overall to score one thousand runs in ODIs in a calendar year, and the first since 2013.
