Aussies all-rounder Christian replaces Asif Ali at Barbados Tridents in CPL
JAMAICA: Veteran Australian all-rounder Daniel Christian has been replaced Pakistan’s Asif Ali in Barbados Tridents for the remainder of the ongoing Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019.
According to details, the franchise confirmed the latest signing while confirming that the Australian hard-hitter will be replacing Asif Ali who will depart midway due to Pakistan duty.
Daniel Christian is one of the most vastly experienced players in the shortest format of the game has featured in as many as 293 T20 matches so far. In his career, the 36-year-old has featured in England’s T20 Blast, India’s Indian Premier League (IPL), Pakistan’s Pakistan Super League (PSL), Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL).
It is pertinent to mention here that the Barbados Tridents are placed fifth in the points table with only win in the ongoing tournament and the Victorian seamer’s signing would certainly boost their chances in the CPL 2019.
