Netizens reminded ARY Digital’s Founder and CEO Salman Iqbal to pay the tax dues that the group owes to the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) on Monday.

It has been 19 years since ARY Group was launched by its founder and chief executive officer, Salman Iqbal.
Salman tweeted about the anniversary, thanking those who had stood by over the years with the channela and supported him all the way.

However, netizens were quick to remind Salman that his organisation owed millions in tax money to the FBR.

“It’s been 19 years !!! I would like to thank Almighty Allah, my entire family, the people who stood by me thru the toughest times and happy moments . Would like to thank all #ARY viewers around the world . Especially my #UK viewers from where it all started #ARY19thAnniversary,” he tweeted.

“Wld like to thank all my colleagues who have been by my side working day and night to make #ARY what it is . Especially Miss my uncle #hajiabdulrazzak who would have been very proud of all of us! Wld like to thank my father #Mohammadiqbal who came up with the idea of #ARYNETWORK,” he tweeted.

The FBR had sent a notice to ARY Communications alleging that the entity had evaded tens of millions in taxes through misrepresentation, concealment and misuse of exemptions, thereby causing a substantial loss to the national exchequer.
