We will stand by Kashmiri brethren with voice, sweat & blood: Shehbaz
ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for the federal government to call an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in the wake of India’s decision to remove the special constitutional status for Kashmir.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Sharif said Pakistan must immediately call an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council and should engage all friendly countries for a strong and decisive strategy.
“We will stand by our Kashmiri brethren with voice, sweat & blood and will go to every last limit and beyond to safeguard their legal and human right to self-determination,” he said.
He also strongly condemned the abrogation of Article 370 by the BJP Govt in the occupied valley.
“India’s unilateral revoking of Kashmir’s status as a disputed Territory is an open declaration of war against the United Nations and a test of the international community,” he added.
