Taylor Swift drops new song Lover about boyfriend Joe Alwyn
Popstar Taylor Swift has resumed writing songs about her lovers and the recent single is about her boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
Media reports said the track was expected to be released a few weeks later but she released the title track from her new album overnight, leaving her fans in awe.
In her recent cover interview with Vogue, Swift said the song has “one of her favourite bridges”.
“It’s dreamier, slower, and more intimate than either ‘ME!’ or ‘You Need to Calm Down’ from her recent album,” another western media remarked.
Rumors are rife that the singer may have gotten engaged to her actor boyfriend Joe Alwyn as the song is entirely about wedding vows.
The 29-year-old singer was able to get more than 2 million viewers on the video in less than 24 hours.
Swift started dating Alwyn in September 2016.
Writing songs about past lovers has been a tradition for Swift, with ‘Style’ dedicated to Harry Styles, ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ said to be penned about Jake Gyllenhaal, ‘Forever and Always’ was reportedly about Joe Jonas, while ‘Dear John’ was written for John Mayer.
