LAHORE: A Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) associate professor claimed on Wednesday that she was asked an inappropriate question by the SereneAir staff.

Nida Kirmani, who is the Associate Professor of Sociology in the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences at LUMS, took to Twitter to talk about how the staff at SereneAir in Karachi asked her whether she was married or not.

“Got asked once again whether I was married or not by the @SereneAirPak staff in Karachi. Told her once again that this was an inappropriate question & that if she wanted to know whether I’m ‘expecting’ she should just ask. Also added that neither are appropriate questions…,” she tweeted.

Kirmani tweeted again that she found out that her suitcase had not been loaded on to the flight and that she was also not given a luggage tag by the staff member.

SereneAir is a privately owned airline in Pakistan that has been functioning since 2017.
