Raja slams PCB as Hasnain excluded from central contract list
Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja on Friday expressed his surprise at the exclusion of young speedster Mohammad Hasnain from the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) central contract list.
Earlier, PCB announced its latest central contracts, leaving out Hasnain despite the fact that he has delivered in his short stint with the national side, which did not go down well with the former captain.
Raja has slammed the PCB for not picking the young gun because he was part of Pakistan’s World Cup 2019 squad, saying if the board wanted to pick the players on the basis of the performance, then why Hasnain was not awarded with a central contract.
The 19-year-old made his One Day International debut against Australia in March and later got the nod for World Cup 2019. However, the pacer managed to take only 5 scalps in 5 ODIs, but still, he impressed with his bowling speeds over 150kph, and Raza feels he should be the part of Pakistan’s future programs.
