PM Khan says comprehensive package being drafted to end Karachi plight
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday announced that a comprehensive package is being drafted in a bid to end the sufferings of Karachi residents.
In this regard, the premier has also directed all parliamentarians of Karachi to remain in their constituencies during throughout Eid and Independence Day holiday to assist the residents.
The announcement comes after at least 12 people were reported dead to electrocution as heavy rains lashed Karachi over the weekend.
A number of sacrificial animals were also reportedly electrocuted to death as they were tied to electrical poles.
I have directed all MNAs/MPAs of Karachi to be in their constituencies throughout Eid & Independence Day holidays & provide all assistance to the ppl. The Federal Govt is drafting a comprehensive package to end the decades of neglect & suffering of the ppl of this gt metropolis.

Earlier today, Imran Khan offered the prayer of Eid Al Adha at the mosque at his residence in Bani Gala. The prime minister especially prayed for the security, progress and prosperity of the country and betterment of the people.
