PM Imran Khan launches Sehat Sahulat Programme for disabled citizens
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday launched a new programme aimed at providing health care to the country’s disabled citizens.
Addressing a gathering in Islamabad, PM Khan said that it was a state’s foremost responsibility to look after the most vulnerable section of its society.
“Some used to say we would make Pakistan an Asian tiger. Some wanted to transfer Lahore into Paris. Pakistan had not come into being to become an Asian tiger. It was supposed to become a welfare state like Riyasat-e-Medina,” Khan said.
Khan said that the programme was not being launched for some political or election mileage. “We want to lift our most vulnerable people out of poverty,” he added.
