ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Khan was considering closing the airspace for India.

Taking to Twitter, Chaudhry said that among the airspace closure options, the prime minister was considering other options as well.

“PM is considering a complete closure of Air Space to India, a complete ban on use of Pakistan Land routes for Indian trade to Afghanistan was also suggested in cabinet meeting, legal formalities for these decisions are under consideration… #Modi has started we ll finish!” he tweeted.

Tensions have soared between India and Pakistan ever since the former revoked Article 370 of its constitution.

Article 370 guaranteed special rights for occupied Kashmir under India’s control. Pakistan responded sharply to India’s unilateral move, downgrading diplomatic ties and suspending trade with New Delhi.

On Monday, Prime Minister Khan addressed the nation and urged Pakistanis to come out onto the streets every Friday till the United Nations General Assembly session where he will speak in front of the world.
