Pak Army retaliates, 5 Indian soldiers killed, many injured

Three Pakistani soldiers were martyred on Thursday after Indian army increased firing at the Line of Control (LoC), the Pakistan Army’s media wing said.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the Indian army increased firing at the Line of Control (LoC) to divert attention from precarious situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

Pakistan Army, however, responded effectively to the Indian Army’s firing, and were able to gun down five Indian soldiers and wound multiple others.

“Intermittent exchange of fire continues”, the military’s media wing added.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Lance Naik Taimoor, Naik Tanveer and Sepoy Ramazan, ISPR noted.

“In efforts to divert attention from precarious situation in IOJ&K,Indian Army increases firing along LOC. 3 Pakistani soldiers embraced shahadat. Pakistan Army responded effectively. 5 Indian soldiers killed, many injured, bunkers damaged. Intermittent exchange of fire continues,” the army’s media wing said in a tweet.
