Opposition livid as PM Khan remains ‘MIA’ from parliament
Ahsan Iqbal and Maryam Nawaz challenge the PM to come to the assembly
ISLAMABAD: As the joint session of the parliament was underway, leading opposition members called on Prime Minister Imran Khan to address the assembly.
A joint session of the parliament was convened by President Alvi on Tuesday. The purpose of the session was to condemn India’s atrocities in Kashmir.
However, a ruckus in the parliament ensued after Shireen Mazari was given the floor to speak. Also, Prime Minister Khan did not arrive on time to the assembly which prompted opposition to protest.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz also tweeted against Khan for not arriving at the assembly on time.
عمران خان، چیمبر سے باہر نکلو اور پارلیمنٹ کو بتاؤ کہ کشمیر اور پاکستان پر امریکہ سے کیا کمٹمنٹ کر کے آئے ہو۔

Yeah, and I’d like my Prime Minister to be on fucking time for what is the most important parliamentary session of his career as my Prime Minister. This isn’t a shaadi that he can saunter in later. https://t.co/9uq8iU9Gh1
