Netizens call for boycott of Savour Foods after staff manhandling video goes viral
ISLAMABAD: Netizens called for a boycott of Islamabad’s famous food outlet Savour Foods after a government inspection team was manhandled by its staff on Tuesday.
The inspection team comprising officials of the Ministry of Climate Change and Pakistan Environment Protection Agency (PEPA) visited the food outlet to see whether or not the government’s ban on use of plastic bags was being enforced.
The Savour Foods staff, however, refused to cooperate with the government inspectors and forced them out of the premises.
A video clip of the incident went viral on Twitter, prompting demands for the boycott of the food outlet.
