Mahira Khan, Bilal Ashraf appointed Barnardo’s ambassadors
Pakistani actors Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf have been appointed ambassadors of Barnardo’s.
Barnardo’s is a British charity founded by Thomas John Barnardo in 1866, to care for vulnerable children.
In a tweet, Mahira Khan raised the curtains on her opportunity with the UK’s largest children’s charity.
“Honored to be named Barnardo ambassador, looking forward to working with UK’s largest children’s charity. Always of service, in any way that I can help.”

A day earlier, Mahira Khan with her co-star Bilal Ashraf in an upcoming film Superstar visited the Twitter UK Headquarters for a Barnardo’s panel discussion.
Both the actors were declared as international ambassadors for Barnardo’s during the event, where the actors discussed social media and its implication on mental health.
“I am delighted to be joining the Barnardo’s family. As a mother myself, I think it’s really important that adults listen to young people and think about how our decisions affect their future.
Through my career, I have experienced the highs and lows of social media. I know what a powerful and amazing tool it can be, but I also know how important it is that we do all we can to keep our children safe online,” said Mahira Khan.
