Hina Rabbani Khar hits back at Karzai for backing Modi’s Kashmir policy
ISLAMABAD: PPP leader and former Pakistani foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar has hit out at former Afghan president Hamid Karzai for endorsing Modi government’s policy in the Indian-occupied Kashmir.
“We would have appreciated that as a former President of Afghanistan you might have commented on the ‘using extremist violence as instrument of policy’ by Modi s India in Kashmir. Be rest assured Pakistan s commitment to Afghan Peace is not dampened by India becoming a rogue state,” Khar tweeted.
Her reaction came after Karzai backed Indian actions in Kashmir and accused Pakistan of using extremist violence as instrument of policy.
“The comments in Pakistan linking peace in Afghanistan to their objectives in Kashmir are indicative of Pakistan viewing Afghanistan as strategic depth,” he tweeted.
“I call on Pakistan govt to stop using extremist violence as instrument of policy in the region. We hope the new measures by govt of India will lead to the betterment and prosperity of people in Jammu and Kashmir as the citizens of India,” he added.
