Fawad Chaudhry urges Indian Punjabis to deny Kashmir duty
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has called upon Punjabi residents of India to refuse duty in the Indian-occupied Kashmir.
“I appeal to all Punjabis in Indian army to refuse to be part of injustice/zulm and deny duty in Kashmir,” Chaudhry tweeted.
In another tweet, he dismissed criticism from Indian trolls that he was inciting any particular group.
“Asking to refuse cruelty is interference? I call upon all Just Indians to refuse Narendra Modi fascism and refuse to abide by rules of his Govt…. peace is not possible without resistance,” he said.
The science minister, who has been a staunch supporter of peace with India, has been critical of unilateral Indian decision to annex Kashmir and split the region in two union territories.
In his address to the joint sitting of the Parliament before Eid, Chaudhry had called on his government to break off diplomatic ties with India.
A day later, the National Security Committee downgraded diplomatic ties with India, suspend bilateral trade, Samjhota Express as well as Dosti bus.
