Earthquake jolts Islamabad, Rawalpindi and surrounding areas
Tremors were felt in the federal capital and surrounding areas early Thursday morning
ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: The federal capital and surrounding cities were jolted by a 5.9 magnitude earthquake, early Thursday morning. Panic and fear spread across the cities.
According to Radio Pakistan, the tremors were also felt in Peshawar, Hazara, Malakand, Kohat, Lahore, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan and tribal districts. Fortunately, no loss of life or damage to property or infrastructure was reported.
