Cynthia Ritchie raises the flag of Kashmir to condemn Indian atrocities
ISLAMABAD: American filmmaker Cynthia D Ritchie came out to show solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir on Friday, raising the disputed territory’s flag high in Islamabad.
Cynthia, who always throws her weight behind Pakistan and project’s the country’s positive and soft image abroad, took to the streets in Islamabad and raised the flag of Kashmir.
A video of the American filmmaker started going viral on Twitter in which she can be seen raising the flag of Kashmir atop a vehicle with heavy truckart on it.

Thousands came out in droves to throw their weight behind the people of Kashmir on Monday as Pakistanis marked ‘Kashmir Hour’.
Students, lawyers, doctors and people from every walk of life came out in droves to throw their weight behind the Kashmiris. In Karachi, Shehzad Roy and Shahid Afridi led huge public gatherings to protest against the illegal annexation of the disputed territory by India.
On August 5, India scrapped Article 370 of the constitution. Article 370 recognised Kashmir’s status as a special autonomous territory. Pakistan suspended trade with India and downgraded ties after New Delhi scrapped Article 370.
