LAHORE: A video of PML-N’s Azma Bokhari slapping a police officer has gone viral after it was tweeted by Punjab Government Spokesperson Shahbaz Gill.

In the video, Azma Bokhari and a couple of other PML-N women protestors can be seen charging across the street, protesting over Maryam Nawaz’s arrest.

A police officer approaches her and tries to grab her, to which Azma sharply responds. She rolls up her sleeve and slaps the police officer.

Dr Shahbaz Gill tweeted a video of the PML-N leader, referring to her as ‘Gullu Butt’s new version’.

Azma responded sharply to his tweet, calling him ‘shameless’.

“I’m returning from the hospital. This officer performing his professional duties are apparent on my body. In your home, people who put their hands on women may be celebrated, you shameless person. Have seen a lot of shameless people but none like you,” she tweeted angrily.

An accountability court on Friday handed over Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for a 12-day physical remand.

Former premier’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau a day earlier, appeared before an accountability court today in connection with the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.

Her arrest was stronly proested by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who screamed at the speaker and stormed out of a session of the parliament.
