Armeena Khan gets invite for closed-door meeting with UNICEF
LONDON: Pakistani TV actress Armeen Khan says that she has been invited by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to a closed-door meeting in London on Friday.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Areema Khan asked her followers to send in questions for UNICEF representatives.
She will be accompanied by Fesl Reza Khan.
“@frk1 and I have been given an audience tomorrow in London with #UNICEF at their offices. It will be a closed door meeting but I want you to send in your questions too if there’s anything specific. I know the hard questions that I’ll definitely be asking. Cheers. #Kashmir,” Ms Khan tweeted.
This comes days after she penned a letter to UNICEF executive director asking her to remove Indian actress Priyanka Chopra as its Goodwill Ambassador for her public support of Indian army during a recent standoff with Pakistan.
In her letter, Armeena Khan argued that Priyanka Chopra had brought the core values of love, peace, dignity and respect of the UN agency into disrepute by cheering the hostilities between two nuclear-armed neighbours.
The Bollywood star also came under fire after her rude response to a Pakistani girl who called out her hypocrisy during an event.
Armeena Khan has been very vocal in support of Kashmir after Indian decision to strip the valley of its autonomy.
