ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed revealed on Sunday that prominent businessman Aneel Mussarat bought him shoes worth £65.
Speaking to media, the railways minister was asked whether it was ethical of him to receive benefits from Aneel Mussarat, a prominent UK-based businessman.
“He is my brother and friend. No big deal if I received shoes worth £65 from him,” he said, defiantly.

Aneel is a friend to Prime Minister Imran Khan and is considered one of the most prominent people who financially back the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Following the revelation, several people took to Twitter to bash the federal minister.
It seems Aneel Musarrat is a parking lot for money of a lot of people from Pakistan

I don’t think you can get a pair of shoes from Russel and Brombley for £65. Minimum price for a pair of shoes over there is £250-300 and that’s on sale.

I bet Sheikh Sb owes considerably more to the Naan Channay and Paye waalas around Laal Haveli. He's infamous for his muftas.
BUT a brotherly gift shouldn't be held against him. He can submit them to the National Khazaani when he gets back. 😂

But sheikh sb it’s not nice and no dignity at all taking something from someone but we have to pay the price for your gifts in adding zeroes to your shopping
